Ben Becker, President & Managing Consultant
Commercial & Digital Strategist | Mar-Tech Solutions Architect | Customer Experience & CRM Evangelist
Ben develops unique data strategies that propel digital airline initiatives forward. Ben's mission is to help prove that airline executives with the vision to have the right information at the right time in the hands of the right people can be achieved. He leverages a team of seasoned, senior-level consultants to build solutions that deliver measurable value—value that can underpin the investments needed for airlines to transform themselves into data-first organizations.
Prior to founding BKS Consulting (formerly Becker Strategies), Ben served in data analytics, revenue optimization, CRM, and e-commerce leadership roles at Continental Airlines and United Airlines. Ben uses that experience today to simplify and focus business requirements, resolve traditional business/technology conflicts, and analyze large enterprise software solutions for inefficiencies and unrealized opportunity.
Anne Marie Reynolds, Managing Consultant
Information Architect | Business Data Translation Expert | Business Intelligence & Data Warehouse Executive Coach
Anne Marie bridges the gap between IT developers and the users they serve. She listens to the business—Revenue Management, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources—to understand what kind of data they need and how that data should be modeled into information. Anne Marie translates these requirements and models into technical specifications that developers use to build robust data repositories, business subject areas, and custom analytical views that give each user group’s data context and usability. Along the way, Anne Marie documents solutions and coaches client user groups to support end user adoption and ensure business use-case success, and eventually, transition of solution ownership to the client’s internal IT organization.
Anne Marie has a distinguished track record in the airline industry, starting in Applications Development and Revenue Accounting and then becoming the Technical Director of Enterprise Data Warehousing & BI at Continental Airlines. During her more than a decade of leadership at Continental, and later United Airlines, she oversaw an award-winning, fully automated data warehouse with right-time data acquisition from over 50 source systems supporting 24/7 availability for 1,600+ global users.
Sin-Chieh Liu, Ph.D., Principal Consultant
Data Model Designer | Data Integration & Automation Engineer
Sin-Chieh leads data design and development at BKS Consulting. Sin-Chieh has a keen understanding of both airline business operations and the complexities of an airline’s data ecosystem. Sin-Chieh first honed her skills as a data scientist while earning a Ph.D. in Genetics and then later applied her skills in complex data engineering and statistics against commercial challenges.
Sin-Chieh has built complex data warehousing and BI systems for Continental Airlines, Disney, and other industry and academic areas including professional sports, utilities, financial trading, and genomic research. Sin-Chieh’s process starts with mapping data streams to understand original sources of data, what systems touch data on its way to end-user databases, and the related data flowing in parallel. With a blueprint of data flows and their relationships, she constructs robust data transformations that accurately model information while preventing common errors due to unrealized data dependencies or siloed, unconnected data.
Susana Womack, Principal Consultant
Loyalty & Frequent Flyer Systems Architect | Customer Analytics & Reporting Expert
Susana leads BKS Consulting’s frequent flyer and customer data systems practice. Susana’s experience in airline loyalty systems spans frequent flyer programs, carrier alliances and loyalty partnership operations. She uses this experience to help airlines scale and automate their loyalty programs by building robust data repositories, data operations monitoring and audit, customer value modeling and other tools to make it easy for airlines to deliver on promises to their most valuable customers.
Susana has been a data professional throughout her entire career. With a Computer Engineering degree from Texas A&M University, she first worked with Boeing as a software engineer ensuring successful data integration between disparate software systems for NASA’s space station program. Later, Susana transitioned to Continental Airlines, where she rose to Senior Manager of Loyalty Systems in the Marketing Department and was the systems owner for Continental’s OnePass Loyalty Program. When Continental Airlines merged with United Airlines, Susana became Director of Loyalty Systems in the Technology Department and was responsible for the systems integration that combined Continental’s OnePass and United’s MileagePlus loyalty programs into the world’s largest frequent flyer program.
Kiki Sanchez, Principal Consultant
Data Warehouse Performance Guru | Monitoring, Security & Compliance Engineer
Kiki Sanchez is BKS Consulting’s lead database management strategist. If your database isn’t performing—load times are slow, your database is full, or you have problems that you simply can’t figure out—he identifies what’s happening and addresses it so that your data warehouse runs smoothly. Kiki optimizes data warehouses so that they’re easy to use, easy to maintain, well-secured, and capable of growing to meet an airline’s ever-changing needs.
Oftentimes, database issues have less to do with what technology a company is using and more to do with how they are using it. Kiki has the unique ability to proactively assess data systems so that airlines can confidently decide whether it’s time to invest in new technology or if they can save time and money by optimizing their current platform.
With a vast amount of experience in database administration—specifically in the airline industry—Kiki has a rare combination of expertise. A large part of his career was spent strengthening data warehouse security, tuning hardware performance and automating as many loads and tasks as possible at Continental Airlines. Later, Kiki was a leader on the effort to consolidate data warehouses during the Continental/United merger. Prior to joining BKS Consulting, Kiki was the Director of Data Warehousing & BI for United Airlines for seven years.
